The National Direct Student Loan Coalition (NDSLC) is comprised of schools dedicated to continuous improvement and strengthening of the Direct Loan program.  Its grass-roots members are financial aid professionals working at participating institutions.

A Letter from the Chair...

NDSLC is delighted that the transition to the Direct Loan Program from the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program has gone smoothly for the many schools that have recently made the switch to direct lending.

We commend these schools for taking the important step to help their students access a stable source of educational loans.  Amid continued headlines about the problems of relying on private lenders, these schools can assure their students that they will have no delay in receiving their funds.

For schools that are considering moving to the Direct Loan Program in the year ahead, the Coalition offers a number of tools to assist with the transition:

Other helpful materials are available on our Institutional Tools page.  We encourage you to take advantage of them and all of the information on this website, and we look forward to welcoming you to NDSLC!

Sincerely,
Roberta Johnson
